Funding opportunity: CCPD Grants Program RFA


The Colorado Department of Public Health's Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease and Pulmonary Disease Competitive Grants Program has announced an RFA.

Required letter of intent due August 20, 2014

17 Fundable Strategies (listed on pages 7-10 of the RFA)
  • Health Eating and Active Living (5)
  • Cancer (3)
  • Cardiovascular Disease & Risk Factors (5)
  • Chronic Pulmonary Disease (1)
  • Cross-Cutting (3)
Three categories of competitive funding will be awarded

  • Small grants: this category will fund awards between $75,000 and $250,000 per year. Seventy-five thousand dollars is the minimum funding award for a CCPD application. No more than $2 million per year will be awarded from this funding category.
  • Large grants: this category will fund awards between $250,000 and $2 million per year. Two million dollars is the maximum funding award for a CCPD application. 
  • Innovative grants: up to $1 million per year will be awarded from this funding category. This amount could be awarded to one application or dispersed over multiple applications. This innovative work can be a stand-alone application or included within a small or large grant application, as outlined in categories 1 and 2 above.
